Baroness Pauline Neville-Jones

Rt Hon Baroness (Pauline) Neville-Jones DCMG is a Conservative peer in the UK House of Lords. She sits on the Joint Committee for the National Security Strategy. She was Minister for Security and Counter Terrorism in the 2010 -2015 Coalition government, initiating the UK’s first funded cyber security strategy. From 2013 to 2018 she was a member of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and is a member of the UK Quantum Strategic Advisory Board. Pauline was a member of the UK Diplomatic Service from 1963 to 1995 during which time she was Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee. As Political Director of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office she led the UK delegation to the Dayton negotiations on Bosnia in 1995. She has been Chairman of the FTSE 250 UK technology company QinetiQ and has served on the governing board of the BBC. She has been on the governing Councils of City, University of London and Oxford University and is currently Deputy Pro Chancellor of Lancaster University.
