Neal Pollard is Group CISO of UBS, responsible for UBS’s cyber and information security globally. Prior to joining UBS, he was partner/principal at Ernst & Young, where he lead their cyber incident and threat management services in New York City. He was also a partner/principal at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Prior to consulting, he was an intelligence officer for the U.S. government, spending 20 years in the counterterrorism community. He also served as Vice President of Hicks & Associates, Inc., and General Counsel and member of the Board of Directors of the Terrorism Research Center, Inc., a corporation he co-founded in 1996. He has served as adjunct professor at Columbia University, Georgetown University, and Fordham School of Law. He holds various other academic affiliations, including member of the Atlantic Council Cyber Statecraft Initiative, New York Cyber Task Force, Board of Directors of the Cyber Conflict Studies Association, and the Council on Foreign Relations, where he was also an International Affairs Fellow. He is a graduate of the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, and the Georgetown University Law Center, and is member of the Virginia State Bar. He is based in Zurich.
