PGE

PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna is the largest energy enterprise in Poland, supplier of electricity and heat to more than 5 million customers and leader of change in the Polish energy industry. In its new strategy, the PGE Group presented a plan of transformation and a path to decarbonization of production and also announced the goal of climate neutrality by 2050. The investment plan of the PGE Group includes, inter alia, the construction of the largest Polish wind farms on the Baltic Sea. Two PGE offshore wind farms with a total capacity of 2.5 GW will be constructed by 2030, with at least 1 GW more after 2030. By 2030, the PGE Group will also build 3 GW of new photovoltaic capacities and will expand the portfolio of onshore wind farms by at least 1 GW. These activities will be accompanied by building flexible gas capacities and an energy storage programme complementary to RES. By 2030, the PGE Group will build at least 800 MW of energy storages, thus increasing the possibilities of connecting renewable energy sources and improving the reliability of energy supply.
