He was a financial advisor in Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Paris in 2007-2013. He represented the bank in its relations with the largest investors in the CEE region advising them on portfolio management, asset location and risk management. He served as a member of the Management Board of the Boryszew SA Group in 2013-2015 where he was responsible for developing the group’s automotive segment and restructuring the various subsidiaries belonging to that segment (numbering more than 2,000 employees). For this purpose, he acted as the president of their management boards. In 2014 the Volkswagen Group, their largest customer, conferred the award of Global Champion 2014 to the companies he oversaw for being their best global supplier. From January 2015 to January 2016, he was an advisor to the CEO of PKO Bank Polski SA and the Director of Corporate Banking and Investments in Germany responsible for opening its first foreign corporate branch in Frankfurt am Main. He has been associated with the PZU Group since January 2016. Initially, he served as a member of the Management Board of PZU SA and PZU Życie SA where he was responsible for investments. In June 2016 he was appointed to be the President of the Management Board of PZU Życie SA and in April 2017 he was appointed to be the President of the Management Board of PZU SA. Paweł Surówka is also the Supervisory Board Chairman of Bank Pekao SA, the second largest bank in Poland. Within the scope of his duties he also chairs the supervisory boards of PZU Życie SA and PTE PZU SA. He is proficient in English, French and German.
